Hip Opening Basics

October 4, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - October 11, 2017 @ 7:30 pm

4 session series

Wednesdays in October: October 4 – 25th from 7:30 – 9 pm

Hips govern movement of our entire body. Hip flexibility is an essential component in many of the yoga postures.  However it is important to create balance, too little or too much mobility in the hip cause problems elsewhere, such as the knee or low back. In this course participants will explore how the hip joint works in a variety of postures.

Because the hip joint is the epicenter of mobility in your body, once you create freedom in the hips the rest of the body will follow. Indeed, this series will show you how to improve all your poses by creating more space in your hips.  With this opening, students will experience feeling more grounded and connected to themselves.

This series is great if you have tight hips or groins.  It is appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners with a minimum of 6 months yoga experience.  If you have any questions about your ability to participate please contact athenayoga@gmail.com

Tuition:

$80 for the series of 4 classes
$25 drop-in
10% off for Adeline Yoga members

We recommend you register early.  Space is limited.
